Program

career coaching in an inspiring setting.

11:00 AM FRIDAY until 3:00 PM SUNDAY.

FACILITATED SESSIONS & PEER SUPPORT

The weekend consists of eight working sessions amounting to over 15 hours of coaching during three days. Discussions and activities are carefully designed to stimulate insights and ideas, and allow you to create your own individual vision and plan. Expertly facilitated by Margaret, you'll also have other women with you for the weekend - who will encourage and challenge you.

You'll consider... What are your values, strengths and skills? What is your calling and purpose? What is your vision for yourself and your 'next chapter'? What may be getting in your way? What's your action plan for moving forward?

I promise you’ll leave with a clearer picture of your future and a plan to get there. You’ll feel more confident and capable, and have new supports and resources to lean on.

I can’t say enough good things about this retreat! Margaret was amazing and enabled me to rediscover myself and my passions through her extremely thoughtful exercises. Sam’s beautiful property and delicious cooking were real treats and delivered the perfect mix of relaxation and fun to really focus on our next chapters. On top of that all, the discussions I had with other participants were warm and motivating - a real bonus to the weekend.

SMALL GROUP SIZE

We limit the group size so that there's plenty of time for everyone to participate in a supportive and relaxed environment - and get lots of group and 1:1 coaching time with Margaret.

FLEXIBILITY & FREE TIME

The schedule is designed to be flexible. And solo and down time are integrated and interspersed to allow you to fully process and reflect upon your experience.

PERSONALIZED & CONFIDENTIAL

You may be at a different place in your journey than the woman sitting next to you. She may be navigating at mid-career and you may be contemplating retirement. Our approach is personalized, allowing for focus on what matters most to you, while soaking in all of the concepts and learning. Or you may work in the same industry as that woman, so everyone commits upfront to strict confidentiality.

What’s your journey been {so far}?

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

You don't need to know everything before you arrive, and you don't need any experience with coaching (or visioning or bonfire building or horse grooming). That's why you're coming: because you have questions and things to learn and figure out.

What an amazing experience! Margaret guided me skillfully with her expertise and compassion. I feel ready now to look forward to the next phase in my life. Sam’s wonderful hospitality and cozy home allowed me to relax and recharge. A perfect combination for a weekend of growth.

YOUR GOALS DON’T NEED TO BE PROFESSIONAL

Many women arrive with goals that go beyond their careers to include their whole lives. The program applies equally well to new chapters such as retirement, life after kids, renewal after the end of a relationship, or just an overall desire to be healthier and more fulfilled. In fact, we encourage you to think holistically about all the things that are important to you.

Quality Is In The Details

FRIDAY

11:00AM - 12 noon

Meet & Greet

Say 'Hello' to your long weekend peers over coffee. Share what will be most important to you this weekend, and what you want to walk away with. Have some agreements about how you want to make the most of your experience.

12 noon - 1:00pm

Lunch

Enjoy a fresh home-cooked meal and get inspired by each others' stories and journeys. We'll gather around the kitchen and open family room areas to get to know each other a little better.

1:00 - 2:45Pm

Workshop #1

Reflect on your work so far. What have been the highs and lows and what is there to learn? Celebrate all that you've accomplished. Start to see patterns that you may not have noticed before.

2:45 - 3:00PM

Coffee Break

Stretch your legs and grab a cup of coffee or tea before joining the next workshop.

3:00 - 5:00pm

Workshop #2

Articulate and be proud of the skills, talents and gifts you have. We use different self-assessment tools and activities during this workshop.

5:00 - 7:00pm

Check In and Relax

Sam will take you to your room and introduce you to the house and property. Feel free to wander or find a comfortable spot to relax (naps are encouraged here at Cobblestone Farm).

7:00 - 9:00pm

Dinner

We'll gather around the banquet table for a delicious dinner prepared by Sam, including roast chicken and vegetarian options. Add some salad and fresh bread and you'll feel right at home. Bring along your favourite bottle if you'd like a glass of wine.

9:00pm

Turn In or Chill Out

You'll have the option to turn in early tonight in order to be ready for Saturday's full schedule. Or feel welcome to linger in the common rooms if you'd prefer - to chat, read or watch a movie.

SATURDAY

8:00 - 9:00AM

Breakfast

Sundays were made for hearty breakfasts and you will have your choice of good'ol bacon & eggs or a flavourful slice of veggie quiche.

9:00 - 10:30AM

Workshop #3

Start with a brief guided meditation to get you present and centred for the day. Continue with the work of self-exploration, but with a focus on your passions, motivations and values. This can be an enlightening and freeing experience.

10:30 - 10:45AM

Coffee Break

Take a break and clear the cobwebs!

10:45Am - 12:00 NOON

Workshop #4

Give yourself the space and permission to design your ideal next chapter. Create a vision for yourself that captures not only what you are doing but, as importantly, what you're 'being'. Factor in the most important elements in your life, in addition to the professional.

12:00 NOON - 2:00PM

Lunch and Siesta

Wanting to keep your energy level high for the afternoon workshops, we will have a light lunch of homemade soup, sandwiches and charcuterie. Then take a short walk or siesta.

2:00 - 4:00PM

Workshop #5

Make a specific plan to work towards your new life, including whats, whens and hows. Establish the support you'll need to make it happen. Take breaks as you need them.

4:00 - 6:00PM

Discover The Farm

Explore the farm whether that be a hike through the hills,  a walk or run on the country road, or some time down at the barn with the horses. There are also three porches and a big lawn where you'll find chairs to sit by yourself or have a conversation with one of your hosts or fellow participants.

6:00 - 8:00PM

Dinner

An extra special dinner after a day of good work and fresh air. Sam will prepare an array of BBQ'd treats with both meat and vegetarian choices.

9:00 - 11:00PM

Fireside

Continue the evening around the fire where we'll share some more inspiration.

SUNDAY

8:00 - 9:00AM

Breakfast

Start the day well with a choice of eggs, pastries, yogurt, granola, fruit and coffee/tea - all prepared and served in Sam's fabulous farm kitchen.

9:00 - 12 NOON

Workshop #6

Discover what may get in the way of you pursuing your vision. You may be surprised by how many barriers can be self-limiting in nature. Work on clearing the blocks and letting go of all the things that drain your energy and time. This can be a powerful and cathartic session.

12:00 noon - 1:00PM

Lunch

Keeping to the Mediterranean theme, spanakopita (or as Sam's family lovingly calls it 'Sam-a-kopita') will be served with traditional tzatziki and Greek salad

1:00 - 3:00PM

Integration and Commitments

Integrate all the work that you've done this weekend. Share what has been most important and the commitments you're making to yourself and each other as you leave to rejoin the world.

3:00PM

Say Our Goodbyes

Exchange contact info so that we can stay connected during our journeys. We’ll then say our goodbyes with positive vibes, looking forward to getting home with new focus and spring in our step.
